Soulstitch is preparing a journey with 18 sewing machines, to 12 capital cities in Europe and Asia, connecting 260 volunteering researchers. Stitching and bringing the craft of sewing while investigating the role of craft in our contemporary culture are the main subjects of the project. Monika Jakubiak was invited by the Adam Mickiewicz Institute to develop” I,Culture – contemporary craft workshop” – one of the flagship projects for Polish EU Presidency 2011 Cultural Programme.
